Francis Nzeuton
Francis is a seasoned executive with more than two decades of experience driving financial and operational excellence across global markets. He is an accomplished entrepreneur and small business owner, having worked for multi-billion-dollar corporations as well as early-stage enterprises. As Executive Director of Nyiragongo Company Sarl, he oversees strategy, budgeting, capital planning, and operational execution for mining projects across Africa. His leadership blends deep financial discipline with an operator’s mindset—ensuring that capital is secured promptly, projects are launched on time, and executed with capital efficiency at their core.
Before joining Nyiragongo—initially as an investor inspired by a strong commitment to driving business-led development in Africa—Francis served as CFO for multiple venture-backed startups in New York and Silicon Valley. In these roles, he raised capital from institutional investors and family offices, translating strategic growth plans into fully funded, operational businesses. His hands-on approach ensures that funds are not only secured, but deployed with rigor and purpose to drive measurable outcomes.
Earlier in his career, Francis held senior roles at Amazon, where he helped build and expand several multi-billion-dollar business lines. He led the launch of Amazon Mexico, helped accelerate investment and growth in Amazon Canada, and served as Head of Finance for Amazon’s $30B Consumables division—where he introduced an innovative portfolio management framework to optimize margins in a high-volume, low-margin category. His experience also includes executive roles at Advance Auto Parts and Best Buy, as well as time as an equity analyst for Wall Street firms.
Today, Francis brings this blend of strategic vision, financial stewardship, and operational execution to the mining sector—applying global best practices to resource development in Africa. A native of Cameroon, he also serves on the board of Food For All NYC, a nonprofit fighting food insecurity through food rescue and redistribution. He holds an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Concord University. He is fluent in both French and English.
