Pierre Mukato Mwando
Pierre is the Business Development Lead at Nyiragongo Company Sarl, where he leads client engagement, project development, and strategic partnerships across the African mining sector. With more than 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, project execution, and technical sales, Pierre brings deep industry knowledge and field credibility to every engagement—helping mining clients identify practical, scalable solutions aligned with their operational goals.
Before joining Nyiragongo, Pierre spent over a decade at PANACO SARL, where he held multiple senior roles, including Site Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, and Assistant Construction Manager. During his tenure, he managed and executed critical infrastructure projects across some of the most complex mining environments in the DRC, including Metalkol, Kamoa Copper, Mutanda Mining, KCC, and CHEMAF. His portfolio includes high-voltage substation installations, transformer commissioning, fiber optic deployment, and powerline construction—supporting both new mine development and process plant expansion.
Pierre also represented a broad range of international equipment manufacturers, including WEG, Schneider Electric, SKF, SULZER, and Fluke, giving him firsthand experience with the procurement, deployment, and integration of mission-critical systems across multiple sites.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering from the University of Lubumbashi and is a certified member of the Congolese Association of Industrial Engineers (ACII). Fluent in French, Swahili, and Lingala, and proficient in English, Pierre combines technical expertise with commercial fluency—making him an effective bridge between field operations and business strategy.
Today, Pierre leads Nyiragongo’s business development efforts with the same attention to detail and commitment to performance that have defined his career—bringing the company’s capabilities to mining clients across Africa with professionalism, precision, and purpose.
