Moise Kabesya

Moise Kabesya is the Field Engineering Director at Nyiragongo Company Sarl, where he oversees on-site technical execution, engineering supervision, and field-based project delivery across mining and infrastructure operations. With a background in civil engineering and over seven years of experience managing complex construction and geotechnical projects, Moise brings a pragmatic, hands-on leadership style grounded in deep local expertise and field-tested engineering judgment.

Before joining Nyiragongo, Moise led and executed a range of infrastructure and public works initiatives across the Lualaba Province, including roadway rehabilitation, drainage systems, structural construction, and geotechnical studies. His project portfolio spans both the public and private sectors—from municipal waste management planning to the construction of commercial and governmental buildings. As General Director of Nyiragongo, he guided the company through rapid growth, establishing a reputation for quality, precision, and safety in challenging environments.

Moise also served in technical and operational leadership roles with engineering firms and civic institutions in Kolwezi. He worked as a laboratory technician and assistant engineer on major road projects, and as Director of Territorial Development where he helped shape regional infrastructure priorities. In parallel, he has led regional marketing and business development efforts and managed several multidisciplinary teams across construction and civil works.

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Lubumbashi, a diploma in General Pedagogy, and has completed advanced geotechnical training in China. Fluent in French and Swahili and conversant in English and Mandarin, Moise is a cross-disciplinary leader who combines field execution with strategic oversight to deliver lasting impact in mining communities.
Today, Moise leads Nyiragongo’s field engineering function with integrity and drive—ensuring that each project is grounded in safety, aligned with client goals, and delivered to the highest standards of technical excellence.
